Clive Daniel Rich (born 26 April 1960) is a British professional negotiator and media lawyer.

1989-2008
Rich is a qualified barrister and was educated at Lincoln College, Oxford and the Inns of Court School of Law.[1]
He was Senior Vice President of the Futures Division at Sony BMG,[2] which was instrumental in the development of Simon Cowell’s Syco TV Joint venture with Sony BMG. He also ran legal and business affairs departments for BMG in the UK and Europe between 1989 and 2004,[3] and was Chairman of the British music industry group Phonographic Performance Limited.[4]
Rich's clients have included Simon Cowell, Sony, MySpace and the Royal Opera House.[5] While at Sony BMG, Rich was responsible on Syco’s behalf for the agreements with Fremantle Media and ITV to produce and broadcast The X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent[4]
2008-Current
Clive Rich is the owner of Rich Futures, providing a commercially focused legal and business affairs service to media and technology clients.[4] Rich Futures works with London-based law firm Olswang, and together they supply the “Orbit” service which provides a “Survival Guide to the law” for technology SME’s.[6]
In 2010, he launched "Close My Deal", a negotiating skills iPhone application for entrepreneurs, start-ups and small businesses.[7]
He is also a partner with the innovation think-tank The Futures Agency[1] which was founded in 2010 by media futurist Gerd Leonhard.[8] The Futures Agency runs events, seminars, workshops and executive team seminars.
Rich has appeared on Radio 5 Live on both the On The Money[5] business show and the “Gabby Logan Show”.
