William Makepeace Thackeray (1811-1863) was a British author and novelist mostly known for his satir-ical works such as "Vanity Fair" that showed an ironic representation of the British society of those times." The Book of Snobs" is a collection of many satirical works originally written by Thackeray in 1848 for Punch magazine. It is a humorous study that starts with the statement that" Snobs are to be studied like other objects of Natural Science."
