Tehke teineteisele iga kuu läbimõeldud kingitusi. Planeerige kord kvartalis ühine reis… Ja siis veel see: ärge mainige Pakti kunagi ühelegi võõrale. Alguses on Aliceja Jake võlutud glamuursetest pidudest ja vastsest kogukonnatundest. Kuid siis rikub üks neist reegleid. Noored armunud saavad teada, et Pakti ridadesse kuulumine on liikmete jaoks samamoodi eluaegne nagu nende abielugi. Ja Pakt on valmis kõigeks, et see reegel saaks täidetud. Michelle Richmond
Michelle Richmond is an American novelist and essayist.
Richmond's first book, the story collection The Girl in the Fall-Away Dress[1], won the Associated Writing Programs Award for Short Fiction in 2000 and was published by University of Massachusetts Press in 2001. Her first novel, Dream of the Blue Room, was published by MacAdam/Cage in 2003. Her second novel, The Year of Fog, published by Delacorte in 2007, was a New York Times best seller [2] and a San Francisco Chronicle bestseller [3]. Newmarket Films acquired the film rights to The Year of Fog[4] .
Richmond was born in Demopolis, Alabama, grew up in Mobile, attended college at The University of Alabama and graduate school at the University of Miami, and eventually settled in San Francisco, where she founded the online literary journal Fiction Attic.
Richmond's short stories have appeared in Playboy, The Missouri Review, Glimmer Train, Literary Mama, and elsewhere. She received the 2006 Mississippi Review Prize for a short story entitled "The Great Amphibian." Her essays have been published in Salon.com, Oxford American, and The Kenyon Review, among others. Additionally, her essays about Iceland, Argentina, China, Slovenia, and other destinations have appeared in many magazines and anthologies.
