Kon Satoshi
Satoshi Kon (jap. 今 敏, Kon Satoshi; * 12. Oktober 1963 in Kushiro, Hokkaidō) ist ein japanischer Drehbuchautor und Filmregisseur für Anime. Heute zählt er zu den wichtigsten Animationsfilmkünstlern Japans.
Biografie
Kon studierte bis 1986 visuelles Kommunikationsdesign an der Musashino College of the Arts. Schon während seiner Studienzeit versuchte er sich als Mangaka (Comic-Zeichner), später als Hintergrund-Zeichner und Drehbuchautor. Durch die Zusammenarbeit mit Katsuhiro Otomo (Akira, 1988) verlagerte sich sein Interesse mehr und mehr zu Anime. Er arbeitete seit 1990 unter anderem an Patlabor 2 (Mamoru Oshii, 1993) und der Kurzfilm-Anthologie Memories (1995) mit.
1997 realisierte er seinen ersten eigenen Animationsfilm Perfect Blue, 2001 folgte Millennium Actress und 2003 Tokyo Godfathers. 2004 schließlich widmete er sich der 13-teiligen Fernsehserie Paranoia Agent, die unter Fans und Kritikern als der bisherige Höhepunkt seines Schaffens gilt.
Sein Film Paprika feierte seine Premiere im September 2006 im Wettbewerb der 63. Internationalen Filmfestspiele von Venedig.
