Christian Dior — французская компания. Основана французским кутюрье Кристианом Диор в 1946 году.
Кристиан Диор (1905—1957) основал компанию вместе с его школьным другом и финансовым партнёром Марсе́лем Бусса́к (Marcel Boussac) — производителем ткани[2]. Ателье высокой моды было открыто 16 декабря 1946 года на элегантной парижской Авеню Монтень[3]. Первая коллекция мод, которую представил Диор в феврале 1947 года, уже пользовалась большим успехом и была названа американскими журналистами New Look.
В середине 1950-х годов в компании работало свыше 900 человек. Кристиан Диор в апреле 1957 года появился на титульном листе журнала Time Magazine.
70 процентов фирмы Christian Dior принадлежит холдингу Groupe Arnault французского предпринимателя Бернар Арно, который является председателем компании[4].
