Personal life

Bloor was born in Trenton, New Jersey, son of Edward William and Mary (Cowley) Bloor. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Fordham University in 1973. On August 4, 1984, he married Pamela Dixon, a teacher. He has a daughter, Amanda, and a son, Spencer. Bloor currently lives in Winter Garden, Florida.cite web|url=http://www.edwardbloor.net/|date=Undated|accessdate=2006-08-19|title="Biography"|work=Edward Bloor Official Website] He is 57 years old.

Career

Bloor was an English teacher in Florida public schools from 1983 to 1986. This influenced him to write his first novel, "Tangerine" (1997), which has won several awards. His second book, "Crusader", was published in 1999. His teaching experience inspired him to create his third novel "Story Time" (2004), which is a satire about standardized testing. Starting in 1986, Bloor has been working at Harcourt School Publishers in Orlando as a senior editor.
