Книга: Sheila Payne, Jane Seymour, Christine Ingleton «Palliative Care Nursing: Principles and Evidence for Practice»
"It has been a true pleasure to have had the opportunity to peruse the second edition of Palliative Care Nursing.... This book, authored predominately by UK-based experts, succeeds in presenting sophisticated thoughts in readily accessible language… Each chapter begins with a summary of key points, with both classic and new relevant literature well integrated into the text. I have also been particularly impressed with the editors’ final chapter, in which they synthesize a number of crucial issues for the future development of palliative care… this second edition makes a significant contribution to both the palliative care literature as well as to nursing literature." Carol Tishelman, Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm, Sweden "I find Palliative Care Nursing a very attractive book for nurses but also for other disciplines to learn about nursing and to learn about palliative care. The book is voluminous, informative and educationally well constructed. Frameworks and models in this... Издательство: "Open Univercity Press" (2008) Формат: 185x245, 738 стр.

Early life
Jane Seymour was the daughter of Sir John Seymour of
She was not educated as highly as Henry's previous wives,
Marriage
Henry VIII was betrothed to Jane Seymour on
As Queen Consort, Seymour was said to be strict and formal. She was close only to her female relations, In early 1537, Seymour became Death After Seymour participated in the Prince's christening on 15 October, it became clear that she was seriously ill. Rumours circulated that she died following an emergency Above her grave, there was for a time the following inscription: :"Here lieth a Phoenix, by whose death" :"Another Phoenix life gave breath:":"It is to be lamented much":"The world at once ne'er knew two such." After her death, Henry wore black for the next three months and did not remarry for three years, although marriage negotiations were tentatively started soon after her death. Historians have speculated that it was Seymour's "achievement" of securing Henry a male heir that made her so fondly remembered by him. When he died in 1547, Henry was buried beside her. Legacy Jane's two brothers, Thomas and Edward, used her memory to improve their own fortunes. After Henry's death, Thomas married Henry's widow, In film * Jane was first portrayed in film in the 1920 German film "Anne Boleyn" by Aud Edege Nissen. In song *The English ballad " Most versions of the song end with the contrast between the joy of the birth of the Prince and the grief of the death of the Queen. From version 170A: :"The baby was christened with joy and much mirth,":"Whilst poor Queen Jane's body lay cold under earth:":"There was ringing and singing and mourning all day,":"The Princess Elizabeth went weeping away" *The song Historiography Jane was widely praised as "the fairest, the discreetest, and the most meritous of all Henry VIII's wives" in the centuries after her passing away. One historian, however, took serious umbrage to this view in the 19th century. Victorian scholar Hester W. Chapman and On the other hand, modern historical writers, particularly Alison Weir and Regardless of the range in historian views, very little historical record of Jane Seymour exists to form judgement. Compared to Henry's other wives, she had little education and was raised from the beginning to be obedient as most women were. It is unlikely that a lady in waiting of no consequence and fortune would be able to bring Anne to her knees, and logic tells many a reader that regardless of Jane's existence, Henry VIII was well on his way to replacing the tragic Anne. To say that Jane was the 'cause' of Anne's demise begs question. Was Jane a good woman forced out of fear to marry Henry? Or was she truly an ambitious schemer? Not much documentation is available to support one theory over another.
