FREUND, ERNST (1864–1932), U.S. jurist and legislative authority. Born in New York, Freund was educated in Germany and the United States. Two important books among his writings are The Police Power, Public Policy and Constitutional Rights (1904) and Standards of American Legislation (1917). -BIBLIOGRAPHY: New York Times (Oct. 21, 1932); University Record (January 1933); Law Quarterly Review (April 1933).
