James Denton (parfois appelé Jamie Denton) est un acteur américain, né le 20 janvier 1963 à Nashville dans le Tennessee (États-Unis). En France, il est généralement doublé par Arnaud Arbessier.

Biographie
Sa première passion fut le sport, il pratique le basket-ball. Parallèlement, il étudie dans la « Goodlettsville High School » située dans sa ville natale. Le basket lui a permis d'obtenir des bourses, lui permettant d'étudier à l'université. Il a longtemps hésité entre plusieurs voies. Mais ce n'est qu'à l'âge de 23 ans qu'il se tourne vers la scène. Il incarne un personnage dans une petite série : c'est à partir de ce moment qu'il prend goût à la scène et à la comédie. Il se dirigera ensuite vers la pub. Il décide alors de jouer à plein temps et de se lancer dans une véritable carrière de comédien. Grâce à Marlon Brando, il se fait connaître devant le public puis incarne des rôles plus importants et son emploi du temps devient très vite chargé. En 1997, il incarnera M. Lyle dans Le Caméléon. Peu à peu, son personnage dans la série perdra son importance et James Denton pourra ainsi jouer dans Ally McBeal et faire des apparitions dans de nombreuses séries comme JAG.
En 2004, il joue le rôle de Mike Delfino dans la série Desperate Housewives, le beau et mystérieux voisin plombier.
En 2009, James Denton est l'ambassadeur de la marque de lunettes de soleil Serengeti.[1]
