Alex Barclay

Eve "Alex" Barclay (born Dublin, Ireland in 1974) is an Irish mystery and suspense author.

Barclay studied journalism at university and worked for a period in fashion and beauty journalism as a copywriter in the RTÉ Guide. In 2003, she left the fashion industry to write "Darkhouse", the first of two novels featuring NYPD detective Joe Lucchesi. Her second novel, "The Caller", was released in 2007. She has stated that she plans to write at least two more novels in the series.

Dark House immediately won a place on the best sellers list and she has remarked that there will be two more books in her collection with Joe Lucchesi making a come back in Book 4

Alex a pseudo name for Yve recently featured on the Panel on RTÉ and remarked why her thrillers were set in New York as it was "far more sexy" than Dublin.
