Harriet Wadeson

Harriet Wadeson, Ph.D., LCSW, ATR-BC, HLM, established and directed the Art Therapy Graduate Program at the University of Illinois at Chicago for 23 years. She is the author of 5 books on art therapy and over 70 articles in professional journals. She is an international guest lecturer, having taught, presented papers, and conducted workshops in many countries throughout Europe and Asia. She is an Honorary Life Member of the American Art Therapy Assn., the profession's highest award, and she has won numerous awards for her art, for scientific exhibits, and a Resolution of Commendation from the Illinois State Legislature. In addition to holding many offices on the American Art Therapy Assn. Executive Board, she is currently Associate Editor of Art Therapy, Journal of the American Art Therapy Assn., and advisor for the [http://www.scs.northwestern.edu/pdp/npdp/art_therapy/ Art Therapy Certificate Program] at Northwestern University.
