Peter Fritz
Peter Fritz (* 1952 in Waldheim) ist ein deutscher Kerntechniker.
Fritz studierte 1972 bis 1978 Maschinenbau an der Leibniz-Universität Hannover und war dort danach wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Institut für Verfahrenstechnik. 1981 wurde er dort promoviert (über Reaktorsicherheit). Danach war er in der Industrie: 1982 bis 1992 bei der EVT Energie- und Verfahrenstechnik, Stuttgart, wo er Hauptabteilungsleiter Auslegung und Entwicklung wurde, und 1992 bis 1999 bei der Preussag Noell GmbH in Würzburg als Mitglied der Geschäftsleitung und Leiter des Bereichs Energie- und Umwelttechnik.
Er sitzt im Hochschulrat der Hochschule Karlsruhe – Technik und Wirtschaft und ist Vizepräsident für Forschung und Innovation am Karlsruher Institut für Technologie, nachdem er zuvor seit 1999 Mitglied des Vorstands des Forschungszentrums Karlsruhe war. Von 2006 bis 2009 war er außerdem Vorsitzender der Kerntechnischen Gesellschaft, seit 2009 ist er Vorsitzender des Vereins Energie-Fakten.
