The Intermediate Intensive Chinese consists of 4 volumes. Each volume has 12 lessons. Altogether there are 48 lessons for one-year study. Every lesson is composed of 7 parts: Clues, Vocabulary, Text, Key Words, Grammar, Exercise, and Supplementary Reading. In Book I - there are about 45 new characters in each lesson and 800-1400 characters in each passage. In Book II - there are about 48 new characters in each lesson and 1000-1500 characters in each passage. In Book III and IV - there are about 50 new characters in each lesson and 1200-1700 characters in each passage. Altogether - there are 1810 new characters.
