The study was carried out in Kasarani constituency in Nairobi County, Kenya and found out that 100% widows agreed that they were lonely. The 98% are faced with financial challenges and 50% of the respondents belong to a support group. The author established that they are able to share their experiences and learn on how to cope with challenges and those who do not belong to a support group expressed the need to join one. The author concludes that the widows need Counseling centers, support and acceptance from the community.
