With the coming of the western culture, al these were erased giving way to the western (modern) marriage, which takes place in the church or court, with the bride on her white wedding gown and the groom on suit. The western cultures really affected the Gwong traditional marriage and its theatricality. The Gwong marriage, anywhere, is ritualized for several purposes.
