The Sonadia Island has significant tourism potential as there are many features of interest at the site including globally significant species. The distribution of species varied in different sites of the study area. In Sonadia Island a total of 53 different plant species (both sand dune and mangrove ecosystems) were found. Study shows that potentiality of mangrove areas for ecotourism is high, especially for the sites which are accessible and located close to the existing resorts and hotels in Coz s Bazar.
