Timothée de Fombelle est un écrivain et dramaturge français né en 1973.
Il a récemment été reconnu pour une dilogie : le roman Tobie Lolness. Ses pièces (« Le Phare », « Je danse toujours », « Rose Cats »...) ont été jouées, éditées et traduites.

Biographie
A 17 ans, Timothée de Fombelle fonde une troupe de théâtre pour laquelle il écrit et met en scène.
Le Phare, créé avec l'acteur Clément Sibony et récompensé par le Prix du Souffleur 2002.
Il se tourne vers le roman avec Tobie Lolness, chez Gallimard Jeunesse qui rencontre un grand succès. Le roman est traduit en 23 langues. Il a reçu une vingtaine de prix français et internationaux parmi lesquels le prix anglais Marsh Award, le prix italien Andersen et la plupart des prix français consacrés à la littérature jeunesse. Tobie Lolness raconte les aventures de Tobie et de ses proches - créatures d'un millimètre et demi - vivant dans un arbre-monde.
