Peter Fritzsche

Peter Andreas Fritzsche (* 3. Juli 1959) ist ein US-amerikanischer Historiker. Er ist seit 1995 Professor an der University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Leben

Fritzsche promovierte 1986 an der Universität Berkeley und veröffentlichte mehrere Werke über die Geschichte des 20. Jahrhunderts und über die Geschichte der Technik. Eines seiner bekanntesten Werke ist „Wie aus Deutschen Nazis wurden“, in dem er die Entwicklung des deutschen Volkes auf dem Weg zum Nationalsozialismus beschreibt und Gründe für die nationalsozialistische Herrschaft in Deutschland erörtert.
