Klaus Käppeler (* 5. Oktober 1954 in Überlingen am Bodensee) ist ein deutscher SPD-Politiker und war Mitglied im baden-württembergischen Landtag von 2001-2006.

Beruf
Käppeler ist von Beruf Hauptschullehrer. Er studierte an der Pädagogischen Hochschule in Weingarten. Seine Studienfächer waren: Englisch und Geschichte, sein Neigungsfach: Technik. Seit dem Schuljahr 2007 / 2008 ist Klaus Käppeler Schulleiter der Hohensteinschule, einer Grund- und Hauptschule auf der Schwäbischen Alb mit rund 280 Schülern.
Partei
Käppeler trat 1980 in die SPD ein und ist seit 1985 Ortsvereinvorsitzender in Zwiefalten. Seit 1992 war er mehrfach Delegierter bei Landesparteitagen. 1993 - 2006 war er Stellvertretender Vorsitzender im SPD-Kreisverband Reutlingen . Außerdem war er Wahlkampfleiter und 2. Kandidat im Landtagswahlkampf 1996 sowie Wahlkampfleiter im Bundestagswahlkampf 1998 im Wahlkreis 193 Reutlingen.
Landtag
Käppelers politische Schwerpunkte sind: Kommunalpolitik, Bildung und der ländliche Raum. Er war im Ausschuss „Schule, Jugend und Sport“, im Ausschuss „Ländlicher Raum und Landwirtschaft“ sowie im Medienrat der Landesanstalt für Kommunikation (LfK) tätig.
