He is in Germany to learn how to channel their illicit millions towards legitimate businesses all over Europe. When Jago witnesses Marcantonio commit a vicious assault and the police seem uninterested, the Englishman refuses to let the matter drop. But by pursuing the gangster to his grandfather`s mountain lair, Jago is stepping into the middle of a delicate surveillance operation, which sets alarm bells ringing in Rome, London and Berlin. Gerald Seymour

Gerald Seymour (born 25 November 1941 in Guildford, Surrey) is a British writer.

Life

The son of two literary figures, he was educated at Kelly College at Tavistock in Devon and took a BA Hons degree in Modern History at University College London. Initially a journalist, he joined ITN in 1963, covering such topics as the Great Train Robbery, Vietnam, Ireland, the Munich Olympics massacre, Germany's Red Army, Italy's Red Brigades and Palestinian militant groups. His first book, "Harry's Game", was published to acclaim in 1975, and Seymour then became a full-time novelist, living in the West Country. However, Seymour claims writing comes fourth in his list of priorities – after dog walking, float fishing and watching the local rugby team. In 2001, Seymour was the only journalist featured in the Oscar-winning television film, "One Night in September", which told the story of the killing of the Israeli athletes and team members at the Munich Olympics.

Television adaptations have been made of his books "Harry's Game", "The Glory Boys", "The Contract", "Red Fox", "Field Of Blood", "A Line In The Sand" and "The Waiting Time".

Family

His father was William Kean Seymour, his mother Rosalind Wade. [ [http://www.ains.com.au/~gerlach/spoton8.htm RLK! Spotlight On ] ]
