Jimmy Sullivan (né sous le nom de James Owen Sullivan) mieux connu sous le pseudonyme The Rev (The Reverend Tholomew Plague) est le batteur de la formation punk-metal américaine Avenged Sevenfold.
Biographie
Né le 10 février 1981, The Rev est expulsé en 2e année de l'école catholique qu'il fréquente en compagnie de son ami Matthew Charles Sanders (M. Shadows) le chanteur d'A7X. Il grandit à Huntington Beach, en Californie.
Il a plusieurs projets de groupe de musique autres qu'Avenged Sevenfold notamment Pinkly Smooth (qu'il forme avec Synyster Gates (guitariste d'A7X)), auquel il participe comme chanteur, et 'Suburban Legends, groupe dont il est le batteur. Son jeu peu commun, à base de double pédale et de break ultra-rapide, prouve bien qu'il est l'un des meilleurs espoirs de la batterie moderne. Dans le tout dernier album d'Avenged sevenfold, il chante plus qu'avant, et fait allier sa voix claire à celle de Shadows, plus rauque et éraillée. Il démontre également pendant les concerts, qu'il chante et joue de la batterie en même temps avec brio.
