The study shows the current trends in the development of the basic waterproofing material used in building construction polymer modified membrane. In Chapters 5 to 11, based on the results of laboratory tests, a comprehensive assessment is presented of the impact of the colloidal structure, chemical and group composition of bitumens and the content of polymer modifier SBS on thermo-mechanical characteristics of bitumens. The study includes a comparison of the scope and intensity of the modifying influence of SBS elastomer on popular soft bitumen 40/175 and 160/220.
