This is a descriptive clinicopathological study (review of cases) that was carried out in the outpatient clinic of dermatology and venereology in Al-Kindy Teaching Hospital in Baghdad from December 2010 to April 2011. Forty-two patients with cicatricial alopecia were included in this study with age ranged from 17 to 62years with a mean age 35. 07 11. 23years. Primary cicatricial alopecia was seen in fourteen male patients (33. 3%) and twenty-eight females (66. 7%) making female to male ratio 2:1.
