The primary purpose of this research was to study, discover and understand the effectiveness of the ACK systems in relation to both economic and social life of her retired clergy. In order to achieve this objective the data was gathered using a case study of the ACK Diocese of Mt. Kenya Central in Murang a County. The research was a qualitative study where data was collected by the researcher in person through ethnographic interviews one on one encounters, observation by visiting retirees homes, talking to individual clergy in active service to provoke reaction and ideas, and tactful interrogation of senior ACK policy makers and Financial officers. The study revealed that the roots of the socio-economic challenges of the ACK retired clergy are historical, theological as well as structural. ISBN:9783659580703
