El pa&237;s de las maravillas que se describe en la historia es fundamentalmente creado a trav&233;s de juegos con la l&243;gica, de una forma tan especial, que la obra ha llegado a tener popularidad en los m&225;s variados ambientes, desde ni&241;os o matem&225;ticos hasta adictos a las drogas psicod&233;licas. S&243;lo se conservan 22 copias conocidas de la primera edici&243;n de 1865, de las cuales 17 pertenecen a distintas bibliotecas, estando las restantes en manos privadas. El libro tiene una secuela, menos conocida, llamada A trav&233;s del espejo y lo que Alicia encontr&243; all&237;. Varias adaptaciones cinematogr&225;ficas combinan elementos de ambos libros.
