The November Man

The president learned long ago that the CIA could not be trusted. And so he created his own group of deadly efficient men to gather independent intelligence: a watchdog organization to keep the CIA in check. R Section was born. `There are no spies . . . ` Until he heard those four simple words, Devereaux thought he`d left his days in R Section behind. He was no longer The November Man, an American field officer in the vice-grip of duty and danger--and the most brilliant agent R Section had ever produced. When he receives the cryptic message from Hanley, his former handler, Devereaux has no idea he`s about to be reactivated into a mission to save both his life and R Section itself. He`s not aware that a beautiful KGB agent has been ordered to stalk and kill him-or that Hanley is now in a government-subsidized asylum for people with too many secrets. And he doesn`t know that zero hour ticks closer for an operation to catch a master spy . . . with Devereaux the designated... ISBN:978-1-4555-5875-9

Bill Granger

Bill Granger is a self-taught Cook, restaurateur and food writer, not only in his native Australia, but also internationally.

Career

Relocating from Melbourne to Sydney in the late 1980s to study art, Bill found inspiration in the city’s lifestyle, light and its incredible harbour aspect. Whilst supplementing his studies by working part time as a waiter, his creative direction slowly changed from an art student with a passion for food to a chef.

Breakfast, and more specifically scrambled eggs, first made Bill famous when, in 1993 five years after arriving in Sydney and still only 22, he opened a restaurant called "bills" in the Sydney suburb of Darlinghurst. In the small breakfast/lunch café he created a relaxed informal atmosphere. A second restaurant, bills Surry Hills, opened in 1996 serving breakfast through to dinner. Both are beloved by locals and tourist alike and have become an integral part of the city that has so inspired Bill.

In 2005, Bill opened a third Sydney restaurant, bills Woollahra. Like its two sister restaurants it has attracted its own band of regulars who enjoy classic bills’ dishes in a courtyard setting in this leafy Sydney suburb.

Books

As the new century began Bill quickly established himself as one of Australia’s leading food writers with the publication of bills Sydney food (Murdoch Books, 2000) in which he successfully translated the simplicity and flavour at the heart of his food and the relaxed informal atmosphere of his restaurants onto the printed page. bills Sydney food has become an international bestseller, as have his three following books bills food (2002), bills open kitchen (2003) and simply bill (2005), all published by Murdoch Books.

October 2006 had seen two additions to Bill’s portfolio. His fifth book, "Bill Granger Every Day", is published by Murdoch Books.

Television

In 2004 the six part series, bills food, followed Bill cooking his way through a busy working week and a casual weekend with family and friends. It was well received in Australia and subsequently screened on BBC2 in 2005, drawing audiences of 2 million. It has been repeated on BBC1 this year and shown in 22 other countries worldwide. In June 2006, Bill treated GMTV viewers to a week-long barbecue special filmed in the South of France.

A second series of "bills food" was aired on various networks. As of 2007, it is being shown on LifeStyle FOOD on Foxtel.

Radio

Granger is featured on a fortnightly segment on ABC Radio 702 with Richard Glover discussing his favourite recipe of the week.

Personal life

Bill lives with his wife Natalie Elliott and their three daughters – Edie, Ines & Bunny. [ [http://www.news.com.au/dailytelegraph/story/0,22049,20574921-5006002,00.html Bill's beach wedding] - The Daily Telegraph, "14 Oct 2006"]
