Книга: Dmitri Makarov «Islam and Development at Micro-level: Community Activities of the Islamic Movement in Israel»
Серия: "Russian Center for Strategic Research and International Studies" This paper is to analyze the causes of success of Islamic community activities, which represent a major dimension of the Islamic resurgence increasingly felt by the Israeli Arabs. Community services provided by non-profit voluntary Islamic associations in many localities have filled a vacuum resulting from the central government's neglect of the Arab sector, the inefficiency of local Arab leadership and the weakness of Arab non-government organizations.
