Armour: A 3-Dimensional Exploration

Armour is always fascinating. It must protect the warrior from his enemies - but it must also be a symbol of pride for the person wearing it. So most armour is beautiful as well as practical. This book features big pictures of warriors/knights with flaps for their armour - from the leather armour worn by Greek warriors around 450BC and the steel-plated armour of 14th century English knights to the decorative, patterned armour of 13th-15th century Japanese knights. Underneath each flap is text with the name of the piece and a description of how it was used. The book also includes 3-D pop-ups of battle scenes with information about the battles and formations.
