This is the second edition of the book "Chkalov", originally published in 1975. The author, Georgiy Baidukov, has included a sequel to the historic flight from Moscow to Vancouver, Washington in 1937. In this latter portion of the book, Chapter 3, Part 4, Baidukov describes the dedication of the memorial to the Chkalov flight and reflects on the days the crew of the ANT-25 spent in the Portland-Vancouver area in June of 1937 and 1975. The last part of the book is a testimony to the memory of Chkalov and how this memory is honored by citizens of the Pacific Northwest, U. S. A.
