Brent Weeks
Brent Weeks (* 7. März 1977 in Montana) ist ein amerikanischer Autor, welcher in Oregon lebt. Schon im jugendlichen Alter beschloss Weeks Autor werden zu wollen und phantastische Romane zu schreiben. Er besuchte das Hillsdale College und studierte an diesem Englisch. Für kurze Zeit arbeitete er nach dem Studium als Lehrer und Barmann, entschied sich dann aber, sich den Traum vom Schreiben zu erfüllen.
Weeks erste Arbeit, die Night Angel Trilogie, wurde von Orbit Books (Verlag) aufgelegt. In dem Roman geht es um Azoth, einen Waisenjungen, der von Durzo Blint, einem der begabtesten Blutjungen, zu eben diesem ausgebildet wird. Das Buch wurde zu einem großen Erfolg, stürmte zum Beispiel die amerikanischen Bestsellerlisten. Seitdem wurde es in mehrere Sprachen (auch Deutsch) übersetzt.
