Книга: «Tallinn: Architectural Landmarks Places of Interest»
Tallinn, the capital of the Estonian Soviet Social Republic, is a great administrative, industrial and cultural centre. It has a population of about 450 thousand. The Town covers an area of over 150 square kilometres. The modern housing developments and the old districts fit in well together: the straight lines of the twentieth century architecture are in cinsonance with the Gothic steeples, the ornate Baroque and monumental Neoclassical buildings. The town is rich in relics: 156 ancient buildings and 287 works of figurative art are under state protection, and there are 228 objects listed among historical monuments. Издательство: "Аврора" (1980) Формат: 220x285, 224 стр.
