Leben
Im College arbeitete sie bei der dortigen Collegezeitung und machte die Erfahrung, dass man mit Schreiben durchaus seinen Lebensunterhalt bestreiten kann. Sie schloss ihr Studium mit einem Bachelor in Englischer Literatur und Journalismus und einem Master in Professional Communications ab. Bevor sie hauptberufliche Schriftstellerin wurde, arbeitete sie zehn Jahre lang als Journalistin, beispielsweise als Reporterin für den Bristol Herald Courier. Estep ist Mitglied der Romance Writers of America und der Vereinigung der Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America.
