Книга: «Friar Sand Joins the Pilgrims»
Серия: "Monkey Series"
This is the sixth in a 34-part series of books telling the story of Monkey that is found in the ancient Chinese fantasy novel Journey to the West. In the previous volume, The Coming of Pig, Monkey used his magic powers to win over an ogre who then became Pig, the Tang Priest's second disciple. Friar Sand Joins the Pilgrims, which is illustrated with 46 coloured pictures, tells what happens when the Tang Priest Xuanzang and his two disciples Pig and Monkey reach the Flowing Sands River, which an ogre prevents them from crossing. Pig battles with the ogre, and when he cannot cope Monkey has to turn elsewhere for help before the ogre becomes the Tang Priest's third disciple for the journey.
