Irrigators were able to produce more improved quantity and varieties of crops than before using irrigation ; generate income from irrigation products(tomatoes, onion, pepper) better than non- irrigators; have much better possession of household asset bases (livestock, furniture, farmlands, etc.) than non-irrigators. In order to ensure the performance of irrigation schemes, all the concerned institutions should act in coordination ; irrigators have to be trained how to repair irrigation channels during damage, the advantages of producing high value crops and using suitable modern agricultural inputs. Furthermore, attentive project proposals about the water along with other resource potentials of the study cite, and its adjoining areas should continually be produced and disclosed to the intended stake holders in every possible media for further expansion of other irrigation schemes.
