Книга: Senapathi Venkatramanan «Sediment Dynamics»
Производитель: "LAP Lambert Academic Publishing" This book presents a concise account of sediment dynamics and textural characteristics of beach environment. The textural characteristics of the sediments from Karaikal to Nagore beach exhibits medium to fine sand, moderately sorted to well sorted, fine to nearly symmetrical skewed nature with lepto to very platy kurtic nature. The variation in slopes of the two saltation population indicates the differences in sorting characteristics. The CM pattern indicates the main role of bottom suspension and rolling along with the existence of graded suspension of sediments. Thus it can be concluded that the coastal geomorphology of the study area is tutored by the fluvial process, coastal tectonics, sea level variation and littoral current.
