Biography
Arunkumar, better known as the Editor of the Hit-Maker Priyadarshan, owns to his credit a span of 10 years experience as a Film Editor in this industry. Arun, who hails from Thiruvananthapuram, had done his schooling in the prestigious St.Thomas Residential School, graduation from M.G.College, Trivandrum and later on moved to Chennai to master visual effects from Pentamedia.He started his career as visual effect artist in Pentamedia [1]
He had been an editor for Kancheevaram(2008), Khatta Meeta(2010), Bum Bum Bole(2010), De Dana Dan(2009), Billu(2009), Chal Chala chal(2009), Seetha Kalyanam,Mere baap pehle aap,Bhool Bhulaiyya, Dhol, Bhagam bhag, Chup Chup ke, Malamaal weekly, Kyon ki, Garam Masala, Hulchul, Vettam, Ivar, Vasanthamaalika. He had also worked with other well- known directors like T.K Rajeev Kumar, Shaji Kailas, Suresh Krishna.[2]
Arun had also been nominated for Shantharam Award and National award for best editing (Kancheevaram). Arun is the winner of 2011 Asianet Ujala Film Award & Mathrubhumi-Kalyan Film Award for the Best Editor.
He directed a malayalam movie Cocktail. Ee adutha kalathu is an upcoming movie directed by him.[3][4]
