It is an economically viable material with abundant natural reserves around the globe. Halloysite is used for various applications including preparation tableware products and anti-corrosion coatings. Due to its tubular morphology it can be also filled with pesticides and insect repellents, etc. Halloysite has also been explored for potential applications in drug delivery systems. A few studies have shown the great potential of halloysite in this regard. In this work, two composites of halloysite nanotubes with multi-functional and biocompatible polymers have been prepared and characterized for potential application in drug delivery and nanobiotechnology.
