Книга: Ronauk Singh,Tapan Singh and Jatinder Pal Singh «Maxillofacial Materials Then And Now»
Производитель: "LAP Lambert Academic Publishing" Materials presently used for maxillofacial prosthetics are improved and adequate, but not ideal. If a material has adequate strength and durability, it frequently is too hard or lacking in processing characteristics. Attempts to modify materials to improve undesirable characteristic have resulted in a decrease of desirable properties. Therefore it appears that, a single ideal facial prosthetic material is yet not available. Research directed towards the development of a composite prosthesis constructed of two or more materials laminated and bonded together, each having its own ideal characteristics, could possibly best simulate the nature while restoring the defect.
