Problems i. e. frequent drought, land slide, flooding, extreme heat, diseases and pests, low productivity in both crop and livestock were identified. Local coping mechanisms i. e. terrace on the farming land, planting improved seeds, apply artificial and manure fertilizers in the fields, irrigation, sowing short period crop. Current climate variability is already imposing a significant challenge to Ethiopia by affecting food security, water and energy supply, poverty reduction sustainable development efforts, causing natural resource degradation and natural disasters.
