Due to numerous weaknesses of the classical PSA method it evolved the need to develop an integrated deterministic-probabilistic method that reflects better the plant state during accidental situations. The integrated deterministic-probabilistic method is called Dynamic PSA. The present book is an attempt to approach Dynamic PSA in generic CANDU 6 reactor design. The book addresses a secondary transient, i. e. Loss of Feedwater and a Station Blackout accident. The phenomena of the accidents is coupled to the logic-probabilistics of the plant, including plant systems and operator actions. The results of such an integrated deterministic-probabilistic approach provide better inputs for decision making process.
