Being aquatic it is prone to numerous detrimental chemicals that might show bioaccumulation and bio-magnification. Cadmium produces changes similar to endosulfan and other pesticides in the organs viz. stomach, hepatic pancreas and intestine, brain, kidney, etc. digestive tract is the amongst first to face the harmful elements. We have explored its effect on different parts of digestive tract in a teleost fish Cyprinus carpio communis, a common carp. Our findings points to deterioration of the fish organs ad valorem.
