Aged population becomes a problem of urban area in Bangladesh as well as a national problem. So the aim of this study is to inquire about the factors that distress the socio-economic status of the old aged people in urban Bangladesh. Status of the aged people within the household,family member`s respect to the respondents, the support they got from their family and social security system in Ward 15, 16, 17 of Khulna City Corporation area in 2011. A total of 120 aged persons, 90 male and 30 female respondents have been interviewed through a structured interview schedule by purposive sampling technique. The living standard and social and economic activities of the aged people have been taken in to account as their socio-economic profile.
