The study has concluded that the Sadiki-Remba are indeed of a tradition of abstinence and ritual identity, of which the taboos and rituals are but the visible outward expressions of a fertile religion. Field research has however revealed some important disparities with the claims put forward by earlier authorities in the area in relation to social stratification and traditional political leadership.
