Werner Heun
Werner Heun (* 25. September 1953 in Frankfurt am Main) ist ein deutscher Rechtswissenschaftler.
Nach seinem Abitur 1972 studierte Heun bis 1977 Rechtswissenschaften an den Universitäten Lausanne und Würzburg. Seine Staatsexamina legte er 1977 und 1980 ab. Von 1980 bis 1983 war er als Freier Mitarbeiter in einer Rechtsanwaltskanzlei tätig; zudem von 1980 bis 1988 als Wissenschaftlicher Assistent an der Universität Bonn. Bereits 1983 war Heun mit dem Thema Das Mehrheitsprinzip in der Demokratie. Grundlagen - Struktur - Begrenzungen promoviert worden; 1988 folgte seine Habilitation über das Thema Staatshaushalt und Staatsleitung. Das Haushaltsrecht im parlamentarischen Regierungssystem des Grundgesetzes.
Seit Dezember 1990 ist er Professor an der Universität Göttingen; seit August 1991 Direktor des dortigen Instituts für Allgemeine Staatslehre und Politische Wissenschaften.
Heun ist mit Sarah Jay Weaver verheiratet und Vater zweier Kinder.
