This work had a broader scope of analysis, design, fabrication, testing and implementation of aperture coupled microstrip patch antenna array with omni-directional pattern. An aperture coupled microstrip antenna used aperture coupling and does not require a direct connection between the patch and the feed line. A small aperture in the ground plane located under the patch allows coupling from the feed line. The feed network requirement for the array to the required amplitude distributions has been addressed.
