David Grinspoon

David H. Grinspoon is an American astrobiologist.[1] He is the current curator of Astrobiology at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.[2] He has published numerous works, such as Lonely Planets: The Natural Philosophy of Alien Life, which won the 2004 PEN literary award for nonfiction.[3]

Currently, he is Interdisciplinary Scientist on the European Space Agency's Venus Express spacecraft mission to Venus.

In 2006, he was awarded the Carl Sagan Medal by the Division for Planetary Sciences of the American Astronomical Society.

He is the son of Harvard psychiatrist and author Lester Grinspoon.
