Using fMRI technique, it has been found that World of warcraft game pictures have induced crave in adolescents. It has also been found that an addict`s craving behavior may mainly be related to bilateral dorsal lateral frontal cortex, cingulated cortex and right inferior parietal lobule regions. Playing Wow game for long periods of time is not the sole factor affecting our brain functions. A change in the latter may also be due to a change in brain structures. The results have suggested neuroanatomic basis of craving cue-induced by World of warcraft online game.
