The Hermitage Museum: A Short Guide

The aim of this short guide is to provide a general picture of the Hermitage Museum. The guide contains: Brief historical facts about the Museum. Information about the Museum buildings and an indication which rooms are most important architecturally or artistically. A list of the principal departments and exhibitions at present open to the public, and also of the most important cultural memorials and works of art recommended to the visitor. In addition, the guide contains directions for visiting the Museum, systematic plans of the lay-out of each floor and detailed itineraries.
